About Ambyint

Ambyint has been delivering best-in-class artificial lift optimization solutions to E&P customers since 2004. The company was founded in Calgary, Alberta as Pumpwell Solutions with the mission to improve artificial lift performance and production by leveraging proprietary mathematics. The company began selling its market-leading leading controllers and VFD packages to customers in Canada in 2006 and by 2012 was actively acquiring data, monitoring, and optimizing over 1,000 horizontal and vertical wells across Western Canada with its solution.

As Pumpwell/Ambyint continued to serve its customers, it collected large volumes of high-resolution (5 millisecond) data, an order of magnitude higher than any other automation system available on the market, for all of the customer wells it served.

In 2012, the team began working on a new technology approach to delivering enhanced artificial lift monitoring and control capabilities at a much lower cost by leveraging new technologies emerging from Silicon Valley and elsewhere. That approach eventually became today’s Ambyint solutions. In 2015, the company rebranded as Ambyint with its massive (45 TB as of early 2017) high-resolution data set providing foundational value for the company, as it continues to expand its data science and machine learning algorithms.

Ambyint now has offices and staff in Calgary and Houston, with solutions deployed to customers across North America and the rest of the world. The company is led by a combination of experienced oilfield entrepreneurs, experienced production engineerings and operations practitioners, and leading-edge technologists.
