Gas Interference

Gas interference is one of the most common causes of low pump efficiency in horizontal wells. It decreases the work done by each stroke, leading to excess strokes on the system, compressive loading, and damage to the pump. Ambyint HRACs analyze every stroke and can automatically make dynamic changes to pump operation when gas interference occurs to ensure maximum production efficiency and prevent damage to the system.

Overpumping (keeping a full pump)

Given the limitations of timers and pump-off-controller logic, overpumping is widespread in legacy and horizontal fields, in part to meet production goals. This causes damaging fluid pound and tagging, which lead to high failure rates often with no meaningful production uplift. Ambyint’s analytic platform ensures that your wells are performing at optimal fluid levels without overpumping. As a result, operators see lower failure rates, fewer costly workovers, and higher runtime.

Underpumping (high fluid levels)

Production teams can react to high failure rates by underpumping wells. This leads to inefficient rod designs, high fluid levels, and leaves oil in the ground unnecessarily. For legacy fields with no automation, we reduce underpumping with proprietary downhole fillage calculations and smart scheduling software. On fully instrumented horizontal fields, we holistically evaluate loads, inferred production, PBHP, PIP, and more to calculate fluid levels and provide machine generated recommendations to speed up or slow down wells.

Solids Issues + Sticking or Stuck Pumps

Our predictive, end-to-end analytics platform, combined with our vast data lake enables automated pattern recognition and anomaly detection which alerts users immediately in the case of any well condition or card changes. This allows operations to identify signs of solids, erratic valve action, or sticking pumps and implement solutions before issues become more severe.
